In addition to the MSISDN, we provide you with the related ICCID and IMSI.

Global M2M SIM Connectivity

We currently enable access to 2G/3G/4G-LTE technology based on 3GPP standards with our globally working IoT SIM cards. Please note that the availability strongly depends on the local coverage. Furthermore, simHERO is already available for using LTE CAT M1 and NB-IoT (narrow band). New technologies such as 5G are under consideration to be supported in the future.

As independent MVNO (mobile virtual network operator), we offer access to hundreds of networks in every country around the World. This is possible due to our strong partnerships with several established network operators. If you are interested in our roaming partner lists, please contact our account manager.

In general, we do not have any minimum quantities or commitments to enter a business relationship with us. Please note minimum quantities only apply for SIM chips and if you require branded SIM cards (in simHERO B2B2C postpaid model).

simHERO Business Models

simHERO B2C PREPAID

simHERO rates plans are created based on the requirements of your device. We, therefore, will get you as our sales partner involved and you will be able to express your wishes on how the price model should look like. However, in the simHERO B2C PREPAID model, Freeeway has solely the responsibility of setting the offered rates.

By using the simHERO services, the end-user enters a contract with Freeeway GmbH. Therefore, it will also be Freeeway GmbH who issues the invoices for all newly purchased plans. Invoices are generated within the end-user account and can be downloaded there.

Yes  depending if you wish to have pre-charged SIM delivered or not, Freeeway GmbH will charge a certain amount based upon the signed partner contract by the time of the SIM activation. Furthermore, a SIM Hardware fee per SIM will be charged upon delivery.

simHERO PREPAID Service was designed for IoT device manufacturers and resellers in the consumer electronics industry who are not interested in dealing with connectivity. By partnering up, simHERO will take care of this part which includes managing all issues in the end-user portal (business transactions, invoicing, support matters, local verifications) and the continuous development of the management portal itself.

As sales channel, we compensate our simHERO partners with a monthly commission based on the net revenue created by the sold SIM cards.

As soon as the SIM has no credit left or the data plan expires, the simHERO SIM card will be deactivated. This means that the device cannot connect to the network anymore. In order to re-activate the SIM, the end-user simply needs to purchase a new plan at http://my.simhero.com.

simHERO ULTIMATE [B2B Postpaid]

Yes – in this business model, simHERO appears solely as a supplier of connectivity to our business customer who is selling the connectivity as part of her products and services. Therefore, our clients are fully responsible about how to set up the pricing to their consumers

As the final consumers enter a contract with our business customers (unlike in the simHERO B2C PREPAID), they will have to issue the invoices. Freeeway will issue the invoice for the monthly data consumption, SIM Hardware fee, and SIM activation fee based upon the contractual agreement to our business client.

Yes – depending if you wish to have pre-charged SIM delivered or not, Freeeway GmbH will charge a certain amount based upon the signed partner contract by the time of the SIM activation. Furthermore, a SIM Hardware fee per SIM will be charged upon delivery.

In the simHERO ULTIMATE model, simHERO can offer different versions of data pooling such as flex pools, static pools, or prepaid static pools with Auto Renewal. Business customers can also add all three options to their available rate plans. For further information, please contact our account manager.

simHERO ULTIMATE supports IoT device manufacturers and resellers in the consumer electronic industry to provide a fully functional product, combining the device with the required connectivity. Through our simHERO ULTIMATE Connectivity Management Portal [CMP], our business clients can fully manage and control each data session for each delivered SIM in almost real time and avoid misusage at any time. In addition, simHERO offers Rest-APIs to fully integrate the CMP into our clients’ system.

The billing status defines if the specific simHERO SIM card is invoiced in the billing cycle. We distinguish between the following states:

  • In Testing: Status if SIM card is delivered and has not been used yet or testing volume is still not used up. This card is not considered to be invoiced.
  • In Billing: This state means that the SIM card is connected to the network and/or has used up the testing volume. This SIM card is invoiced in the billing cycle.
  • Suspend: This state describes a disabled SIM card which cannot connect to the network anymore. Users can suspend a SIM at any time during the billing cycle and the suspension is executed immediately. The monthly rate will be charged proportionally.
  • Resume: In order to re-activate a suspended SIM card, users need to set the SIM to this state. This process can be done at any time during the billing cycle and will be executed immediately. The monthly rate will be charged proportionally.
  • Retire: SIM cards in this state cannot be used again, even though they are still visible in the CMP.
